Tidying Up
State Machine and recoding.
Before I can continue with proper level design and developing the move set, I need to rig a state machine for the character to make tuning and adding moves and actions easier.
I also need to debug, and probably redo the last contributions of my former teammates so that they work nicely with the overall code. (There’s in theory a menu, but it’s lost in limbo for the time being)
Further development
After the initial move set is clear and working, the next goal is a basic platforming level with a simple enemy (think goombas) for the player to navigate and test out the different values of gravity, speed, etc.
A new sprite for the character to represent all the different animations is low on the totem pole but it needs to get done, swinging a sword when it should be a spear thrust is negative user experience.
